About noon today we headed for the first snowshoe of the season. We decided to try the Summit Meadows trail in the Mt Hood National Forest. Lily is beside herself with excitement. The snow is deep, almost to the tops of the street signs and the trail is practically deserted. We timed it perfectly and managed to get back to the Jeep before dark.

After a quick load up of our gear, it was off to the Mt Hood Brew Pub for a supper of fish & chips and a wonderful winter ale.
