Leavenworth, Washington

Leavenworth is a cute Bavarian Village nestled in the heart of the Washington Cascades. The drive to and from Leavenworth turned out to be just as wonderful as the town itself. Traveling through five distinct eco-systems; each so distinct and beautiful, it was hard to keep your eyes on anything but the scenery before you.

On the way home we stopped by American Stonehenge in Maryhill perched high overlooking the east end of the Columbia River Gorge. Built as a WWI Memorial, this full-size replica of the original Stonehenge is an amazing tribute and an architectural wonder of its time.
