What a wonderful surprise when we got to the trail. So much snow that we had difficulty just getting parked. All the cars in the lot that had been there for a while were buried almost to the rooftops in snow.

As we started out on the trail it was beginning to look like this would be a short trip. There was now blanket of almost 3 feet of fresh snow. Off we went, Lily bunny hopping (ok, a giant bunny hopping) through the snow. Just when we thought this would be a very short adventure the snow cat comes through and packs us down a trail.

Fresh snow, a groomed trail and it was all to ourselves. We passed one other couple the entire hike.
